Published local authors Vernetta Lopez, Claire Chiang, Rodney Ee and Jarrold Yam, spoke at the Singapore Writers Festival on 3 November at SMU. Discussion moderator Philip Jeyaretnam said that what unites these disparate authors is that “In all of their (books)… you get to see a glimpse of them. They are, in a way, the protagonists in their own books”.
