How the International Community can help Myanmar

In a joint commentary, SMU School of Law's Asian Peace-building & Rule of Law Programme Research Manager Vani Sathisan, and Friends Committee on National Legislation Director of Foreign Policy Michael Shank, wrote about how the international community could help Myanmar. They noted that the international community's fascination with Myanmar as the fledgling democracy, transitioning from military rule into potentially emerging as the next Asian tiger, must be tempered with a sober recognition of its many challenges, and that it is our job to help in Myanmar's reform process
