A survey conducted on this year’s 21 Mendaki Excellence Award recipients showed that a number of them had chosen career paths not typically associated with the Malay/Muslim community. This included new media and positions in multi-national corporations. The recipients comprised graduates of SMU, NUS and NTU, as well as several prestigious overseas universities, who had obtained first class honours.
