Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced changes to the Cabinet and other political appointments on Thursday. The move was made as part of the Government’s on-going efforts to reinforce his team for national tasks which have become “more complicated and more intense”. On the announcement, SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan noted that among the fourth generation leaders, seven, including Chan Chun Sing, had taken political roles. This indicated that the leadership team is slowly taking shape.
