SMU Gourmet Club hunting down delicacies to gain more knowledge on the food

The SMU Gourmet Club, which was set up in 2004 aims to gather food lovers and hunt down their favourite foods, as well as gain knowledge on the dishes’ origins and history. More than one hundred food-related activities have been organised so far.  Just last week, the Gourmet Club held the Food Trail Challenge where students from SMU, NUS and NTU could participate. SMU Gourmet Club leader Ma Chong Er said SMU is the only university that has a gourmet club. Apart from food-tasting, the club also provides reviews and first-hand information on food on its website. It currently has 1,800 members with 300 new members joining the club every year
