SMU’s Team Spark beat 60 contestants at the annual Public Policy Challenge organised by the Public Service Division. The competition involved participation in activities ranging from the planning of policies and solving of issues for the Singapore Budget 2022, to dealing with simulations with the help of policymakers, stakeholders and field experts. Team Spark walked away with $3,000 in cash, while teams The Doppler Effect and Multi-Polity from the NUS won $2,000 and $1,500 respectively.
