Ten SME-SPRING Joint Executive Development Scholarships were given out at a presentation ceremony on Friday, doubled that of last year. SMU student Lee Kang Wee, a third-year business undergraduate, was a recipient of this scholarship. He will join Acumed, one of the eight participating SMEs, after graduation. Kang Wee said: “SMEs being smaller (allow) you to identify more strongly with the company values and you actually know what you are doing, unlike in an MNC where there are more layers of management. That's what I like about SMEs.”
