PM Lee criticises Low Thia Kiang for not keeping his promise to thoroughly investigate the dispute

SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan said that the Government and the Workers’ Party’s handling of the hawker centre dispute between the Aljunied-Hougang-Punggol East Town Council and the National Environment Agency were vastly different. While the Workers’ Party is hoping that the dispute would die down, the Government is still pursuing the matter as it perceives that this concerns the creditability and integrity of the political parties.
