Low Thia Khiang: No intention to be PM

Workers' Party (WP) chief Low Thia Khiang said during a dialogue session that he has no ambition to be the Prime Minister, and that the party has not been considering to use Aljunied, Hougang and Punggol as WP strongholds. SMU Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan said that Low has fully considered his speech, and hopes to let voters understand that WP still needs their support, and still has plenty of work to do. Assistant Prof Tan also noted that WP has been focusing on the Northeast area over the past few elections, with the hope that it could help them clinch more constituencies in that area.
