Poly, university students to get cash boost for community projects

Students at Institutes of Higher Learning who want to contribute to the community will be given a cash boost by the National Youth Council (NYC). NYC will be pumping in S$1.9 million over the next three years to support its existing community youth projects, and student initiated projects as well as research. To facilitate this, NYC has partnered six institutes of higher learning – SMU, NUS, Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. The funds will cover youth initiated, local and overseas projects that are community related including workshops, training sessions and leadership conferences.
