Businesswoman donates calligraphy paintings and jewellery

To celebrate her 75th birthday this month, philanthropist Mrs Wong Kwok Leong will be donating part of her collection of calligraphy paintings and jewellery to raise funds for a scholarship to sponsor outstanding secondary school students to participate in a leadership training camp in China. The collection of calligraphy paintings was very precious to her as it was carefully curated by her late husband and her. She also shared that to make up for her late husband’s regret of not being able to attend university, Mrs Wong Kwok Leong set up the Wong Kwok Leong Endowed Scholarship with a $1 million endowed donation to help needy students in SMU.
