NUS, NTU and SMU grads much in demand: poll

Results of the first joint Graduate Employment Survey (GES) conducted by SMU, NUS and NTU revealed that graduates of these three autonomous universities continue to be sought after in the job market, achieving an overall employment rate of over 90 per cent. In particular, SMU Law (Cum Laude and above) graduates achieved a 100 per cent overall employment rate. "These healthy results were achieved despite the uncertain global and local economic conditions in 2012," said SMU. 91.7 per cent of SMU graduates secured employment within six months of graduating, with more than 75 per cent clinching job offers from before graduation to within the first month of graduation; of those working full-time, 30 chose to embark on an entrepreneurial path and start their own businesses.
