Director of the Wee Kim Wee Centre at SMU, Associate Professor Kirpal Singh shared his thoughts on why Singaporeans find it hard to return their trays after eating at hawker centres.  He said that the more we practised self-service, the better it would be. In the longer term, that would make us a more independent and resilient community of individuals.
