Accompanying 13 year-old son to lectures; Female lecturer says it’s worth it

SMU Senior Lecturer of Strategic Management Pamela Lim, winner of numerous entrepreneurship awards and a mother of five children between the age of 9 and 18, related her story of how she was required to accompany her son to university lectures when he was admitted at the age of 12.  She said that when the university accepted her son’s application, it requested that she accompanies him for all his lessons until he turns 15.  Her son, who is now 13 years old, will graduate in two years’ time.  She said that she is happy to spend 20 hours each week with him, and that in nurturing her child, the time and effort spend, as well as sacrifices made all these years are worth it.
