Singapore's prescription for prosperity starts to look shaky

With a persistently falling birth rate, influx of foreign workers, rising inflation and property prices, as well as a slowing economy, it appears that Singapore’s economic miracle is no longer assured. SMU Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan said, “We are essentially at a crossroads and the Singapore model which has generally worked very well over the last 40 years is now showing signs that it may not be adaptable to the rapidly changing circumstances.”
