SMU Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan commented that the Action Information Management Pte Ltd (AIM) saga would be “one of Workers’ Party’s (WP) ammunition”, and that it would most likely bring it up only at its last rally before Cooling Day. He added that the People’s Action Party (PAP) should not dodge the issue, and should explain it proactively so as not to leave doubts among the voters. He also said that to date, the WP has only attacked the shortcomings of the PAP and not provided any real solutions. Hence, voters would need to decide whether they want to vote for a party that could improve on the current situation, or one that would only raise questions in Parliament.
