Internships and the making of future lawyers

Associate Professor of Law Tan Seow Hon, who teaches philosophy of law, wrote about a study of the impact of private law firm internships on fifty-two volunteers from SMU, most of whom had done corporate or civil litigation work at local firms in Singapore. Sixty five per cent of the interns surveyed said that lawyers they had interacted with or observed were role models or sources of inspiration.
