Positive self-assessment intriguing; Academics: worth further investigation

SMU Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan said that Singaporeans used positive traits to describe themselves, but do not see the society as positive and this is intriguing. He pointed out that it is worth investigating if this is because Singaporeans are not seeing the proactive side of the society, or if the positive self-assessment is a reflection of their own aspirations.
