Firms linked to the Government through Temasek Holdings are unlikely to face pressure to reduce the pay of top management in the light of recent ministerial pay cuts, said analysts. SMU Law Professor Eugene Tan said he would not be surprised if some questions were raised over the salaries of chief executives of firms such as DBS, SingTel and Keppel. However, he said it was unlikely, at least for now, that they would face pressures to have their salaries cut too.
