Juggling studies and training has always been one of the national sprinters Gary Yeo's biggest struggles, but a new collaboration between the Singapore Sports Council and the University of Oregon could just be the answer to the 25-year-old's woes. Through the 5-year partnership, local students get sports-related education and industry experience at the institution. “I've been exploring options after the SEA Games to see how I can push myself to train and achieve better results. Training will be handled more professionally over there. The sporting culture at Oregon will be more vibrant, so I think it will help,†said Gary, who is an undergraduate with SMU's LKCSB.
