Tung Lok's Mr Tjoe reckoned that while restaurants were the top-scoring sub-sector in the latest CSiSG, the biggest challenge facing F&B operators now is a shortage of manpower. ISES Director Caroline Lim acknowledged that turnover of frontline staff does have an effect on operations and overall quality delivered, which could result in a vicious cycle of poor delivery, staff burn out and customer dissatisfaction.
