Chinese community leader Chua Thian Poh donated S$5 million to NUS to set up the Chua Thian Poh Community Leadership Programme to be rolled out at UTown next year.  NUS plans to enroll 20 students under this programme in the first year and subsequently increase the intake to 30. Chua Thian Poh had previously donated S$3 million in the name of his company, Ho Bee Group to SMU to establish the Ho Bee Professorship in Chinese Economy and Business.
