Time to look at faith-based social investments

As Asia's investor sophistication has grown, so too has demand for socially responsible investments, no longer relegated to the far fringe of mainstream investing. In fact, non-Muslim investors are the fastest-growing group of syariah-compliant investors in this region and, generally, in the global Islamic finance industry, notes Assoc Prof Andrew White, director of the International Islamic Law & Finance Centre at the SMU.
