In the latest World University Rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), NUS moved up three places to 28 th and NTU jumped from 74 th to 58 th . Because SMU is a specialised university, it was not included in the annual survey. The ranking is based on six indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, student-faculty ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty and student mix.
