To ensure punctuality at the presidential election, thousands of clocks were synchronised

During the recent presidential election, more than 700 clocks in the polling stations were adjusted to the Singapore Standard Time. In SMU, about 275 clocks are synchronised using a clock system (Master Clock) that is continuously updated to the international time scale via a satellite system. This is to facilitate smooth coordination and running of courses, examinations, conferences and events.
