Budget happening in February; Presidential Elections in the third quarter; General Elections are likely to happen in the second quarter of the year

Foreign Minister George Yeo predicted recently that the Elections are likely to be held in the second quarter of the year, since the Budget is happening in February and presidential election is happening in the third quarter of the year. Assistant Professor Eugene Tan observes that recent developments on the governmental front such as the five year plan for different constituencies and the strengthening of Mother Tongue education - all point towards an imminent election.
