Singapore orders blog to register as political group

Political analysts told The Straits Times they did not expect the gazetting of the site as a political association to drastically affect The Online Citizen's work. Since the site had been involved in political advocacy, they said, it should not be surprising that it would be considered a political association. Assistant Professor Eugene Tan commented: 'It can help further their reputation if they are willing to be identified. If they have nothing to hide, then they shouldn't worry about it.'
