The Online Citizen will be first portal to become a political group <strong></strong>

The Registry of Political Donations under the Prime Minister's Office has confirmed that it sent a letter to The Online Citizen (TOC) portal of its intention to gazette it as a political association. SMU Asst Prof Eugene Tan says he is not surprised by the government's move and does not think that the site's freedom of speech will hence be particularly restricted.
