Fewer PRs, new citizens

As Singaporeans' concerns over the influx of new citizens and Permanent Residents heightened, immigration was tightened, resulting in a drop in Singapore's resident population. The Singapore Government's inaugural Singapore Public Sector Outcomes Review cites/ Strong Singaporean Core as one of the 27 strategic outcomes. Singapore Management University law lecturer Eugene Tan noted that the review showed that the authorities were responsive.
