Cheeky online videos have been produced as part of the campaign that the NVPC hopes will get people to take stock of how they spend their time. Some think the approach could hurt the volunteerism cause, such as SMU sociologist Chung Wai Keung who said: 'It could certainly backfire when the public cannot feel a bit of seriousness and sincerity coming out of this campaign; being a volunteer is very much a moral commitment.' Others say the concept works and that it i s a small way to get people thinking about volunteering.
