Judge calls on lawyers to engage academics

At a symposium involving Hong Kong University, NUS and SMU, the Judge of Appeal of the Singapore Supreme Court has called for lawyers here to keep themselves up to date by making more use of the views of academics. A spokesman for the Law Society said it has good links with the law schools in NUS and SMU, and has been looking into ways to deepen the collaboration.
