Sylvia Lim: NCMPs have no real power

Opposition party NCMP Sylvia Lim said that NCMPs have no real power. Assistant Professor Eugene Tan, a keen political observer, said: ?It's true that among the MPs, there exist a difference in power and rank. The most powerful ones and have the greatest voice of authority are the elected MPs as they are, after all, chosen by the people. Next would be the NCMP as people still see them as representatives at government level. Those with the least authority are the NMPs as people see them as representatives of other interest groups.?
