The makings of a University President

The appointment of a non-Singaporean president for universities here seems to take root as 3 out of 4 universities here are helmed by foreigners. For Singapore Management University and Singapore University of Technology and Design, as both adopt an American-style teaching pedagogy, it seemed most natural that their first president would be an American.
