Making sense of electoral boundaries

When boundaries were drawn in 1958, the constituencies were regular and compact in shape. Explanations were set out in a 42-page report, with one page for the PAP's dissenting view. But in 2006, the report had just seven pages, with reasons reduced to one paragraph. [SMU] Assistant Professor Eugene Tan comments on this.
