The S'pore Spirit is what will keep us thriving

Assistant Professor Eugene Tan says what struck him in PM Lee's speech was the attempt to leaven the hard economic edge to our self-identification as Singaporeans. Mr Lee attempted to distil the essence of the ?Singapore Spirit? where he described it as being based on our shared values such as multi-racialism and meritocracy, the shared loyalty and commitment to Singapore, a shared responsibility for one another, and shared memories.
