Changes planned to help less academically-inclined students

Sweeping changes are in store for the education sector. Prime Minister Lee said the universities should build up their own endowments. Currently, all three public universities - the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University and the Singapore Management University - have initiated the class gift, with a portion of the money going towards financial support for students.
