Time and punishment - for school latecomers

Owen Yeo, a first-year social sciences student in SMU suggests that local institutions could consider penalising the grades of grade-conscious Singaporean undergraduates if they are perennial latecomers.  He argues that if an education system should prepare us for life in the real world, this seemingly high-handed policy might work as good grades would be useless if one is always late for work.
