Merging SMEs

Spring Singapore has identified about 700 promising mid-sized SMEs here. Associate Professor of entrepreneurship and law Tan Wee Liang projects that these could spawn some 100 enlarged companies through mergers and acquisitions, which will go some way towards meeting the Economic Strategies Committee's target of 1,000 firms with revenues of over $100 million in 10 years' time.
