Young PAP gets over 1,000 new members

The youth wing of the People's Action Party saw a surge in new members last year, with more than 1,000 joining its ranks. YP said about 55 per cent of the new members are aged under 30, reflecting interest in politics among young Singaporeans. Political observer Eugene Tan of Singapore Management University noted that this post-1980 generation is a group that is keenly wooed by the various political parties.
