Opposition and ruling party tug-of-war ? Rising property resale prices and foreign talent competition become the hot topics in anticipation of a general election

Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan says that housing and employment are matters close to the hearts of Singapore citizens so the opposition parties will try to gain votes by riding on public sentiment. Meanwhile, the ruling party will explain to people the soundness of its policies and also offer measures that will win over public opinion.  He stressed however that the tug-of-war will continue no matter when the general elections will be.
