Class in Singapore, classmates elsewhere

SMU has set up global e-classroom experience facilities for one module so far.  Practice Associate Professor of Information Systems Benjamin Gan Kok Siew says that such tools not only ease interaction between people, they also enable students to learn how to interact in a multicultural environment and across different time zones. SMU student Celine Yong held a virtual conference with classmates from IT University in Copenhagen to develop a hotel reservation system as part of an SMU module on Global Software Project Management.
