SMU Assistant Professor Hua Wei says that student volunteers in the Peer Helper team need to attend a Facilitation and Counselling class to be equipped with basic counselling skills. Second year business management undergraduate Lim Nanli, who is a senior Peer Helper, feels that the programme is effective as the students are able to identify with one another.
