[SMU second-year student] Alvin Lu Wenjie had undergone a cornea transplant two years ago. He did not face a long wait after diagnosis as his condition made it necessary for the doctors to find a match immediately from the Eye Bank in the US. But with the aging population in Singapore, the Eye Bank here will have to build up its supply as it is likely that demand will far exceed supply.
